When your students are ready to make a splash into marine sciences, let them get their feet wet in the Florida Keys. Join us in Miami to kick off this brilliant 6-day Marine Biology & Oceanography tour then travel to Key Largo to discover the protected environments of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, Everglades National Park, and the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. With biologist-led snorkel sessions, pupils will learn about marine habitats through snorkelling which allows the experience of ecological concepts and observation of marine creatures in their natural habitats. Also included are laboratory workshops and classroom lectures. Cap it off with an afternoon getting to know dolphins and you’re set for an experience like no other. Lodging is in dorm-type facilities and all meals are included. It’s all about the Science.
“The Florida Keys were absolutely brilliant. For the students, after a week of coming to understand the delicate ecosystems in which marine life live, made the experience even more fulfilling. Thank you Visions for an outstanding trip!”

Our site offers easy access to seagrass, mangroves, and the only bank coral reef off the continental United States. Through hands on investigation and snorkelling, preceded by biologist-led discussions focusing on the ecology and biology of these unique communities, students and staff alike learn while having fun and adventure. The daily schedule consists of labs and lectures in the evening and snorkelling field trips by day. Core curriculum consists of seagrass ecology, mangrove ecology and coral reef ecology; specialised programmes add diverse curriculum such as hardbottom and coralline algae ecology and may include Everglade’s hydrology.
