The three valleys of the Monterosa Ski Area is made up of the sensational ski resorts of Gressoney, Alagna and Champoluc.
Some of the highest peaks in the Alps surround the Monterosa Ski region including the Matterhorn and a further string of peaks over 4000m, and some over 4500m. The panoramic views provide awe-inspiring and sensational sensory experiences for our Visions students.
Being in one of the highest regions in Europe, this is a snow-sure area and our ski groups can enjoy a long ski season here between November and May.
“There are no words to describe how beautiful this region is! The staff were in awe and the students have been talking about the experience for weeks since our return. We cannot wait to return!”
-James W., Alagna Party Leader
Our groups stay in bespoke EXCLUSIVE accommodation in Alagna, and can ski the entire Monterosa ski region.
Skiers can take the modern cable car from the village centre straight up to Pianalunga (a rise of nearly 850 vertical metres).
From there decide whether to take the new cable car a further 850 metres higher to Passo Salati (2971m – a world beating 1,700m vertical ascent from two lifts!) – which opens up the links to Gressoney and Champoluc; or whether to take the chairlift to Bocchetta elle Pisse (2396) and the slopes used for competitions.
Comprised of two friendly, authentic Italian villages, Gressoney is at the centre of the fantastic Monterosa ski circuit.
From both Gressoney-La-Trinité and Gressoney-Saint-Jeanyou can access the whole of the Monterosa ski circuit. Considered to be one of the most scenic resorts in the Aosta Valley with views of Mont Blanc, the Monterosa glacier and the Matterhorn. It’s got picturesque tree-lined runs, black runs and a great range of red and blue runs on both sides of the valley and also nursery slopes with a magic carpet for beginners. If you’re a snowboarder then you’ll love the snowparks on offer here.
